I have watched a meaningful movie recently. It's called Midnight Sun. It's about Katie Price, who suffers from a hereditary disease called XP, which is life-threatening as long as she is in the sun. In order to protect her, Katie’s father,Jack, refused to let her go out during the day and has been teaching his daughter alone at home. After Katie’s mother passed away, her dad gives all the attention to Katie. Jack rebuilt the windows with UV protection (which is sunlight proof ) at home and help Katie's with her school works. He barely makes friends because of Katie. The first thing he do everyday after work is going home. Jack puts all his efforts on Katie and he gives her all the love and try his best to protect her. Katie's life is limited, so she often plays guitar, sings and creates new songs at home, sitting by the window, watching the world outside. Charlie passed by Katie's window everyday when going to school. Katie had a crush on him since the first time she met him. However, because she cannot go out, she never met him in person. Until the night of high school graduation, Katie finally met Charlie in the train station, where Katie was singing with her guitar. They soon fall in love with each other.

During one of their dates, Charlie discovered out Katie's condition. Charlie did not give up on her, instead, he is always there when she need him. Because of Charlie, Katie completed her wishes, and faces her illness more bravely and becomes more optimistic. Even though Katie still couldn't escape death, she had no regrets. Before she is gone, she tells her father that she hoped he could make some new friends and live for himself.
This is a very touching movie. It tells us that we can't always have a happy ending in life. However, we can always try our best to live a life with no regression, and make it worthy.
